Robert Estes

Robert D. Estes, 89, of Kansas City, MO died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.  He was born in Texas on May 16, 1930, to the late Robert and Eula (Delaney) Estes.

Robert was proud to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean war, he was a corrugated box salesman for many years working for Stone Container Corporation and retiring from Vanguard Packaging. He enjoyed fishing, being with friends and was a faithful member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

He will be fondly remembered by his children Terri (Mark) Gourley and Bob (Kelly) Estes; grandchildren Michael Estes, David (Calla) Gourley, Sarah (Clint) Hiestand and Kyle Gourley, great-grandchildren Lincoln, Levi, Cora and Geneva and the friends and staff at Riverstone Retirement Community.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Norma J. Estes who died in 2010.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 2 PM until the time of service at 3 PM all at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 5409 NW 72nd Street, Kansas City, MO.
