Robert Orville Cox, 80, of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House. Robert was born December 15, 1937 to Clarence and Mary (Sanders) Cox in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from park Hill High School in 1957. He graduated from Central Technical Institute (CTI) in 1959. On May 30, 1959 he married Barbara Jean Maxwell. After graduation, he started working for RCA who eventually became Unisys, he retired from, in 1996. In his early years he enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles, scuba diving, and camping. He will always be remembered for his ability to fix almost anything that broke, and make it work better than it did before. After retiring he loved working around the farm, watching old westerns, and playing computer games
Bob was preceded in death by both parents, and his brother Buddy Cox.
He is survived by his daughter Judy Cox of Parkville, MO, and Bobby Cox of Parkville, MO, sister Carole Deckard of Parkville, MO, grandchildren Brandon and Crystal Adams. Also surviving is cousin Sharie Rowland and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00AM with Funeral Services immediately following at 12:00 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
