Robert "Bob" Wayne VanVacter, has peacefully passed away. Born on November 22, 1933, Bob led a remarkable life filled with passion, dedication, and kindness.
Throughout his career as the business owner of Claycomo, MO Hardware and Fairmont Hardware in Independence, MO, Bob became known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to providing top-notch service to his customers. His strong sense of integrity and genuine care for others shone through in every interaction, earning him the respect and admiration of many.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Bob was a proud member of the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge No. 13 in Kansas City, MO, where he found camaraderie and formed lasting bonds within the community. His involvement with the Englewood Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO further demonstrated his deep-rooted faith and spiritual devotion.
Those who knew Bob remember him as a jokester with an infectious sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. He had a natural gift for caring for those around him and always went above and beyond to lend a helping hand. Bob's love for traveling allowed him to explore new places and cultures, creating cherished memories that he held dear to his heart. He was never one to sit still for long, always finding joy in keeping busy and taking on new adventures.
In addition to his successful career and community involvement, Bob bravely served his country in the United States Navy from 1955-1957 during the Korean War. His dedication to duty and honor exemplified his courage and patriotism.
Bob leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be treasured by his surviving family and friends. Although he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will live on through the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Charles VanVacter, Sr. and Dorothy Frisbee; wife: Peggy VanVacter; and his siblings: Bill Marrs, Elaine, Wendt, Charles VanVacter, and Jerry G. VanVacter.
Survivors include his children: Anita Johnson, and Susan VanVacter; grandchildrens: twin sisters: Sheri Bennett and Kristy (Eric) Watts; and great grandsons: Kellen and Alex Watts.
