Richard Zuniga

Richard Michael Zuniga, Sr., 72, of Gladstone, passed away December 27, 2021.

Richard was born on February 4, 1949, to Alfred and Romona (Herrera) Zuniga.  He worked in the paint department at General Motors and was a member of Knights of Columbus.  Richard loved the Chiefs, fishing, gardening, and doing yard work.  Most of all he cherished his time spent with family and playing with his grandkids.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Joseph Rodriguez.  He is survived by his wife, Annie Zuniga; children:  Raymond Zuniga, Renee (Philipe) Valdivino, Elizabeth (Michael) Merentez, Diane (Barry) Moore, Rena Aubrey, and Michelle (Joe); 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and six brothers and sisters.

Services for Richard will be Friday January 14, 2022, at St. Charles Berromeo, 500 NE Shady Lane, Kansas City, Missouri 64118. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
