Richard Rodriguez

Richard Joseph Rodriguez, 86, passed away on December 23, 2021 peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Jesus and Inez Rodriguez in Atchison, KS. Richard was a devoted family man who always showed compassion to others.  He loved to play cards with his friends and was an avid antique collector. Richard also loved gardening where he could be found spending countless hours of the day on his mower. Richard worked for the H.D. Lee Company for twenty plus years prior to his retirement.

He leaves behind his wife, Barbara Rodriguez of forty seven years; son: Richard Rodriguez II of Kansas City; daughter: Rebecca Marshall of Kansas City; and daughter: Cindy Priesendorf of Orrick, MO. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Jesus and Inez Rodriguez; brothers: Ernest Rodriguez of Colorado Springs, CO; Lolo Rodriguez of St. Joseph, MO; Salvador Rodriguez of St. Joseph, MO; and Raymond Rodriguez of Colorado Springs, CO; Sisters: Sara Macias of Kansas City, MO; Esther List of Kansas City, KS, and Rita Gorneau of Kansas City, MO.

He was loved by all and will be missed greatly.
