Richard Daryl Ralston

Richard Daryl Ralston, 81, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away on December 4, 2023.

Richard was born on June 9, 1942 in Wichita, Kansas. He was the oldest of three children born to Thomas and Cleo Ralston. After briefly attending college, Richard joined the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. After his time in the military, he began a long successful career as a draftsman. Richard was the type of person to make friends everywhere he’d go - even the gas station. It was at a dance hall that he met his wife of 30 years, Judy. Their families merged and he took great pride in being with family, especially his grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his parents and sister. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Judy; children, Lisa (Joseph III) Cherco, Georgia (Mark) Carter, Linda Fodor, Dawn Marie Ralston, Michael Ralston, and Betty Viola White; grandchildren, Brandi Traylor, Joseph Cherco IV, Kaitlynn Cherco, Christopher Ralston, Krista Six, Raina White, Christina Radestock, Melissa Lynch and Ashley Lynch; his great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren: brother, Tom Ralston Jr.; and many more extended family and friends.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Terrace Park Cemetery on Saturday, December 16th at 2pm.
