Richard "Dick" M. Riddle

November 30, 1938 — January 26, 2025

Richard “Dick” Monroe Riddle, 86 of Holt, MO passed away on January 26, 2025 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, MO. Dick was born on November 30, 1938 in Cassville, MO to Elva D and Stella Maye Riddle. He was from a very large family full of love and laughter. He was raised on a farm and learned the value of hard work.

At the age of 16 Dick took off to Iowa where he worked as a hired hand on a dairy farm. In 1958 he moved to Kansas City, MO where he started working at Owens-Illinois/Georgia Pacific as a corrugator operator and spent the next 48 years as a hard working, dedicated employee. Dick was blessed with two daughters Pam and Tammy. On June 1,1984 he married his loving wife Diane and gained another daughter, Cyndi.

Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and loved his family so much and looked forward to family gatherings. Dick enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling and just piddling. Dick knew no stranger and could talk your ear off. He was a very kind, giving, humble, and frugal man who was known for his contagious sweet smile. Dick will be missed dearly by all of those who loved him.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Tammy, as well as his siblings: Catherine Sapp, James Riddle, Barbara Jean Batson, Irene Hancock, Doyle Riddle, Rosella Lipp, Jerry Riddle, Roberta Miller, and Joyce Darlene Brown.

Dick is survived by wife Diane of the home and two daughter’s Pam (Mark) Constance of Odessa, MO; Cyndi (Phil) Lawter of Kearney, MO. Grandchildren: Jamie (Trisha) Riddle of Pueblo, CO, Eric (Alicia) Kleoppel of Kansas City, MO, Kasey (Heather) Burgen of Royce City, TX, Ryan (Whitney) Lawter of Kansas City, MO, Jeremiah (Alicia) Joyce of Kansas City, MO, Jeremy Contance of Blue Springs, MO, Jennifer (William) Catanzaro of Pleasant Hill, MO, and John (Natalie) Constance of Sherman Oaks, CA. Great grandchildren Joey Riddle, Angel Riddle, J.J. Riddle, Zeke Kleoppel, Roman Burgen, Dominic Burgen, Macklin Lawter, Remi Lawter, Macy Lawter, Rhodes Lawter, Gabe Constance, Eli Constance, Shelbie Constance, Canyon Chrisman, Joshua Chrisman, and Cipi Catanzaro. Other survivors are sister Sharon (Gary) Wood of Birchtree, MO and brother Ronnie of Jasper, MO and many nieces and nephews.
