Raymond Bruce Chirnside Jr. of Blue Springs ,MO died Monday, December 23,2013 in Lee's Summit, MO. He was born in North Kansas City, MO. He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Jean Chirnside; brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Diane Chirnside; and his niece, Lauren Marie Chirnside who was the light of his life. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Maynard and Helen Chirnside; and his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Blanche Lewis. Ray graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1986. He earned a BS in Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Missouri. He spent many happy hours rooting on his Missouri Tigers in a variety of sports. He spent his career proudly working for DST as an Operations Solutions Consultant. He possessed a broad, deep knowledge of the company's operations. He was known throughout the company to be a trend setter and an innovator. Ray helped Brad Chirnside launch R-Mech Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing. He used his financial and business expertise to put his brother's company on a sound path to success. Brad and Ray were immensely proud of each other's accomplishments. Ray was the ultimate son, brother, uncle, and friend. He always put others ahead of himself. He has left a legacy of kindness, generosity, and courage that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
