Phyllis (Melton) Phillips, 87 of Iberia, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. She was born January 18, 1929 on a farm near Mountain Grove, MO to the late Hugh Lee and Lou Dora Oliver Melton.
She was a loving person, who would tell you where you stand even if it made you a little uncomfortable. She was a hardworking homemaker, who also worked hard on the family farm with her husband Elvin Phillips whom she married June 4, 1972.
Phyllis is survived by her children Larry (Pam) Allan of Henderson, NV and Gary (Dee) Allan of Brazito, MO. Brother Frank (Carolyn) Melton of Liberty; grandchildren: Kristina, Shaun, Carrie, Heather and Josh; step-grandson Nikolas, great-grandchildren: Anna Belle, Judah, Hasadyah, Deena, Ester, Yitzchok, Mordechai, Lauren, Grace, Kyra, Devin, Allison, Cheyanne, Owen Cade, Jada, Jet and Van; step-great-grandson Steve and one great-great-grandchild Kase. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents Phyllis is preceded in death by her husbands Lester Allan and Elvin Phillips, her daughter Terry Tacaronte; seven brothers and sisters, Kaye Steinmeier, Lenora Isham, Helen Vance, Bill Melton, Wayne Melton, Joan Maloney and Shirley Rhodes.
Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2016 from 12-1 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Monday at 1 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Terrace Park Cemetery.
