Phyllis Jennings

Phyllis J. Jennings, 89, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2022. She was born to the late Clarence and Ruby Goldsmith on December 06, 1932. She married the love of her life, Robert Jennings in June of 1954.

She was employed as an Executive Secretary for Farmland Industries for over 25 years and spent much of her life caring for her daughter, her husband, and all of their animals.

Phyllis had an artistic touch to everything she did. Sewing was her escape from the rest of the world. From men's tailored suits to Halloween costumes, she created magic each time her hands touched fabric. She enjoyed reading, painting, and playing spider solitaire. While many remember her incredible love for animals, such as feeding the dogs online every single day, she was also extremely tech-savvy. Phyllis always had the latest Apple products and sent benevolent text messages from the iPad her grandson purchased.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband; as well as her beloved dog, Liza. She is survived by her daughter: Kara Ward; her son-in-law: Shane Ward; and her grandchildren: Hayden and Sutton Ward; all of Kansas City, MO.
