Phillip Leroy Jewell, 65, of Kansas City, Mo passed away March 7, 2016. Family memorial services will be private. Inurnment will be in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association.
Phillip was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed watching any sporting event. He truly loved spending time with his family, especially the children. He worked several years in the Kansas City, City Market area for produce companies. and later worked in maintenance at Kemper Arena.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Florence (Van Lissel) Jewell, and a sister, Kathleen Carter. Survivors include his siblings, Allen (Pam) Jewell, Sarah Jewell, Susan (Chris) Hillman, Teresa Snyder , and nieces and nephews, Rick Jewell and son Brady, Jennifer Barncord and daughter Avery and son Kade, Tamara Heidrich and son Ryan and daughters McKenna and Brynlee, Chester Hillman and daughters Kaitlyn, Delilah, April and Mina and Laurie Carter and daughter Keira and son Godric.
