Phillip Elkins

Phillip Elkins, 64, of Kansas City, MO passed away on June 10, 2022.

Phil was born on April 1, 1958 to William “Bill’ and June Elkins. Phil grew up in the Kansas City area and attended Winnetonka High School. He worked for over 35 years as a trucker and was a proud member of Teamster’s Local 41 Union. Many of his fellow truckers affectionately knew him by his CB handle – Magic Man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Chiefs football, but he especially cherished the time spent with his family.

Phil is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 19 years, Kimberly Elkins; and daughter, Carolyn Elkins. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his children, Andrew Elkins and Amanda (Daniel) Clymore; grandchildren, Hunter and Wyatt Clymore and Avery Elkins; brothers, Terry (Carol) Cornett, Hal (Anne) Elkins, and David (Chris) Elkins; and many extended family and friends. Services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home, with the visitation held on Thursday, June 16th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and the funeral service held Friday, June 17th at 10:00am, followed by the graveside service at Paradise Cemetery in Paradise, MO.
