Peggy Blackwell

Peggy Lois Blackwell, 89, of Holiday Island, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, at North Care Hospice. Peggy was born July 4, 1928 to Easter and Lois (Ewing) Ragland, in Joplin, Missouri. She graduated from South East High School, Kansas City, MO. On July 10, 1951 she married Roger Blackwell. She was an active member of the Holiday Island Community Church. In her free time she enjoyed golfing, cooking, playing cards with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Peggy is preceded in death by both parents, her husband of 58 years, and her granddaughter April.

She is survived by her children; Alec (Michelle) Blackwell of Kansas City, MO, Jayme (Steve) Hartgrove of Kansas City, MO, Paula (Carl) Tamburello of Riverside, MO, and Christine of Florida. Also surviving is her sister Treva (Eliot) Potter of Topeka, KS, grandchildren; Roger Conroy, Brandon Blackwell, Dalton Hartgrove, Alexa Blackwell, Amy Hartgrove, and GREAT grandson Levi Tran, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with Funeral Services immediately following at 2:00 PM at Terrace Park Lakeside Chapel; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions go to Elks Lodge #1042, Holiday Island, AR.
