Nettie “Pauline” Alexander, 91, passed away at Northcare Hospice Care at 12:03 am, Monday, December 12, 2016.
She was born September 30, 1925 in Kidder, MO to James Holmes Howard & Sara Helena Tritt Howard. She was married to Maynard Lee Alexander May 3, 1946. To this union was born Gary Lee Alexander in 1952. They adopted their daughter, Edna Marie Turman, in 1972 at the age of 11.
Pauline worked most of her career at Whitaker Cable. She later worked at Marriott as an executive secretary, and then at Oak Park School in food service.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Russell Fulton Howard and James Delbert Howard; her sister, Elizabeth Eileen Cozad; and her niece Barbara Eileen Lund.
She is survived by her children, Gary and Marie; grandchildren Nicole Turner and Tiffany Snead; four great-grandchildren, Korbin Turner, Dakotah Turner, Katie Turman, and Alexis Snead; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th Street, KCMO 64155. Visitation to be held at 1:00, followed by the service at 2:00.
The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to the American Cancer Society or NorthCare Hospice House.
