Paul Spinden

Paul Spinden, 89, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away May 1st, 2014 at NorthCare Hospice House. His funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 6th with visitation one hour prior at Northland Cathedral, 101 Northwest 99th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64155. Burial will follow the service at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. Paul was born May 6th, 1924 in Doon, Iowa to Joseph A. Spinden and Vera R. (Smith) Spinden. He married Frankie L. Sanders on June 21st 1944 in Electra, Texas; to this union, two sons were born.  Paul retired from the ministry after 50+ years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Frankie L. Spinden; sons, Frank E. Spinden and wife, Cheryl, of Miami, Oklahoma and Paul M. Spinden and wife, Sara, of Lynchburg, Virginia; grandson, David P. Spinden and wife, Emily, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; granddaughter, Alison K. Harris and husband, David, of Kansas City, Missouri; great grandson, Micah Paul; sister, Loretta Craig and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thelan Spinden, Roy Spinden and David Spinden; sisters, Henrietta Lindow and Emma Ruth Harding; step-brother, John Sheppardson and step-sister, Beatrice Carpenter.
