Paul J. Howard

Paul J. Howard, 82, of Gladstone, MO passed away peacefully Sat., March 25, 2023, at NorthCare Hospice House with his family surrounding him. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 17, 1940, to the late Paul and Anna Marie (Horosko) Howard. They have lived in the Northland for the past 57 years.

On July 2, 1965, Paul J. Howard married Shirley K. Benitz in Wathena, KS and raised two daughters: Candace and Paula. They were married for almost 58 years.

Paul was a pipefitter and worked for both General Motors and Ford until retiring in 2000. Paul loved to dance and travel. He and his wife, Shirley, loved going on cruises especially to tropical destinations. They were able to go on over 40 cruises… but maybe his love for scotch made him lose track. His wife was the love of his life and loved watching his family grow.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley. 2 daughters; Candace (John) Ramos and Paula Chancellor. 3 Grandchildren, Madeline, Gabrielle, and Joseph. 2 great grandchildren; Beau and Hollie. 

He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Duane and granddaughter, Olivia.

Services are as follows:

Visitation will be Thur., March 30 from 5-7 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108^th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.

Memorial service will be Friday at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. 

Celebration of life to be held following the memorial service at the Elks Club, 7010 N Cherry, Gladstone, MO. 

In honor of Paul’s love to travel, please wear tropical attire.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
