Pamela Suzanne Sportsman, loving wife, mother, and sister, of Liberty, Missouri went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 7, 2024.
Pamela was born on September 20, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles "Ed" and Anna Beam. She was a graduate of Northeast High School and was a proud member of the Pom Squad. Pamela never took the precious life she was given for granted and was also never shy about showing off her leopard print or blasting her favorite classic rock songs. Something else that never changed throughout her life was how much she cherished spending time with her family. In her youth, she especially enjoyed the frequent camping trips to Cricket Creek, Arkansas with her parents and sister. It was on February 5, 1994, that her family got even bigger when she married the love of her life, Beric Sportsman, and from this marriage they were blessed with two children. Always a hard worker, Pam spent many years employed at AT&T in their customer service department until she retired to care for her children and her home. As someone who was always caring and looking out for others, she continued this by working in the daycare and home health industries. She enjoyed making the most of her spare time by frequently visiting the family's house on the Lake of the Ozarks, rooting for the Chiefs, going to concerts or making new friends - as she never met a stranger. Pamela also loved the Lord and her faith never wavered, even in the midst of her bravely fought battle with cancer. Her kindness and compassion to others will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Pamela is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Beric Sportsman; children, Carmella and Chance Sportsman; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Chris Teel; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jan and Brian Harbour; her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
