Pam Mathena

Pamela N. Mathena, 66 of Platte City, MO went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.  She was born March 31, 1951 in Trenton, Missouri to the late Earl Wheeler Sr. and the late Helen (Daniels) Wheeler.

Pam loved the Lord and lived her faith every day.  She was the treasurer and volunteer at the Central Ave. Center of Hope on a regular basis, would help out family and friends alike whenever there was a need.  She served the Midland Mission Center for 18 years, providing office operations and support to the congregation.  Additionally, she was the co-pastor of the Toganoxie Congregation and holds the office of Elder in the church.

She is survived by her son Sidney Mathena, Daughters Ginger Coons-Gault and Amber Mathena, Brother Earl Wheeler Jr. grandchildren Lauren, Maddi, Samanntha, Addie and Connor and her longtime friend and Sister in Christ Mindy Day.

In addition to her parents, Pam is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy, and her brother Michael Wheeler

Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2018 from 12-2 PM  at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Monday at 2 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Terrace Park Cemetery.
