Orville Glenn Itschner, 98 of Bolivar, MO; formerly of Gladstone, died at Citizens Memorial Health Care on Saturday, April 30, 2016. He was born August 27, 1917 in Macon, Missouri to the late Clarence R. and Alta N. Squires Itschner.
Glenn proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII where he earned the rank of Aviation Chief Mechanics Mate; he married Ruby Stull on March 19, 1946. In 1951 they moved to Gladstone and he began working for TWA as an Aircraft Inspector; retiring in October 1979, after 28 ½ years of service. In 1984, the Itschner’s moved to Flemington, MO to enjoy their lakeside view of the Pomme de Terre Lake where they enjoyed fishing. Glenn and Ruby were members of Christ Church Unity in Springfield.
In addition to his parents Glenn is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Ruby who died in February of this year.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Sister LaVeta Teter; and many nieces and nephews
