Orva John Long, 90, Parkville, died Saturday, July 17, 2021, at North Care Hospice. They eventually settled in Parkville at the home he built and raised a family of which he was the proudest. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family led him to a job at American Can Company for 22 years and ultimately retiring from General Motors.

John loved having a second home at The Lake of the Ozarks, where he could spend time on the lake and fishing.  Many days he could be found in his workshop, tinkering, building and repairing something. He will always be remembered as a hard-working provider and loving Father.
