Norma Boen

Norma Lee Boen (Ricketts), 84, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on February 21, 2021. She was born on January 29, 1937 to Homer and Bertha (Hurst) Ricketts in Clarksville, Arkansas. She married James L. Boen on June 18, 1955 and they had four children. The family relocated to Kansas City, MO in 1968 due to job opportunities.

Norma worked for Milbank Manufacturing for 40 years before retiring in October 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Bertha Ricketts; husband, Leon Boen; daughter, Debbie Creach; brothers, Lawrence, Carl, Bill, and Rob; and sisters, Vernell and Jane.

Norma is forever loved and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Sharon Farrar (Bill); sons, Steve and Randy Boen; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25th at 10:00am at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, followed by a funeral service at 11am and burial. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Rosario Rivera and caregiver, Lucinda Shatto, for all the loving care they provided for our mother.
