Nellie Annette Yost, Daughter of the late William & Ida Dailey, was born on November 16, 1927 and departed this life on April 13, 2019. At the time of her passing she was 91 years of age.
Nellie was born in Deepwater, MO where she graduated from Deepwater High School in 1945. Shortly after her graduation, she met Harold "Bill" Turner. They were later united in marriage and to this union two children were born, both whom survive her. Together they moved to Kansas City when Harold took a job working at the Union Pacific Railroad. While staying in Kansas City, they built the house that they later raised their family in where she remained until her passing. After Harold’s passing in 1963 she went to work for Milgram’s Grocery. While working for Milgram’s, she met Robert W. Yost and they were later united in marriage in 1968. Together they loved to travel, spend time with various Shiner Activities and threw great Halloween parties. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Shriners Needle Guild. She truly loved her family and her neighborhood community on 42nd street, she was even a part of a group called the 42nd Street Girls.
Nellie was preceded in passing by her parents; both husbands, Harold and Robert; two siblings, Dorothy Saunders and Donald Dailey; two grandchildren, Shaina Anne Turner and Jacob R. Andrews. She is survived by her two sons, Chris (Lauri) Turner and James William (Susie) Turner; three grandchildren, Christen (Justin) Groff, Alyssa Turner and Jessica Andrews; three great-grandchildren Kayli, Gunner, and Jacob; and one Grand-Dog, Bear. She also leaves behind several friends and other family members whom will all truly miss her.
