Nellie Stewart

Nellie (Sebastiana) Stewart passed away May 11, 2024 at New Mark Care Center.

She was born September 18, 1925 to Sam and Sebastiana Maddelena in Omaha Nebraska.

Nellie was married to Archie Stewart June 6, 1943 before he left the states to serve in WW2. He returned safely and they eventually had 4 children. Rodney (Susan), Terry (Kathy), James (Diana) & Kristine Yeager (Jim).

Nellie loved to cook Italian food for her ever growing family.  Her Christmas eve Spaghetti Dinners were a highlight for the entire family with children and grandchildren all gathering to share the season.

Early in her marriage Nellie enjoyed working as a florist in downtown Kansas City but later became a stay at home mom caring for her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, sister Mary, brothers Al and Frank and son-in-law Jim Yeager.

Besides her children, left to mourn her passing are 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
