Nancy Lake

Nancy Lucille Lake, daughter of the late Richard & Fern (Foster) Hoskins, was born on October 10, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri and passed away peacefully on July 25, 2018 at her home in Richmond, Missouri surrounded by her family.

Nancy met Donald Lake while in high school. She graduated from North Kansas City High School class of 1961, and from then on their love continued to grow for one another. They were later united in marriage in May of 1961 and to this union two daughters were born, both whom survive her.

Nancy was a self-driven and determined woman. During her working years she worked as a secretary for a law firm and bank while Don was serving our country overseas. She then started her own printing company, Alliance Printing Inc., in 1978 and served as president until she sold the business in 2015.

Together they loved to travel and visited several places such as, Germany, Italy, France, Jamaica and Nancy’s favorite place of them all, Hawaii. She was a sports enthusiast, supporting her local Kansas City Royals any chance she had. She also loved to go bowling, play tennis and Golf.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Don; two daughters, Kim and Tracy; and one grandson, Trevor Thompson. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, friends and family who will all truly miss her.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Terrace Park Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Blevins  from Richmond United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Terrace Park Cemetery under the direction of Terrace Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice or G.A.P Assistance Program of Ray County.
