Nancy Jean Fenn, 69, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away May 15, 2014. Her funeral service will be 4:00pm, Wednesday, May 21 with visitation at 3:00pm at Platte Woods United Methodist Church, burial in Deposit, New York. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Transitional Housing, 5609 N. Northwood, #1, Kansas City, MO 64151 or a charity of your choice. Nancy was born September 5, 1944 in Deposit, New York. Nancy was a faithful member of Platte United Methodist Church and believed in showing the love of Christ to others through Sunday school class, served on the hospitality team and took part in numerous church service projects for her community. As part of her desire to give back, she was preparing to be a Congregation Care Team Leader in order to lead grief counseling groups. Nancy's dedication and attention to detail were recognized and appreciated by her coworkers at MC Flooring where she was employed in accounts for more than 20 years, and by her neighbors, where she served as accounts keeper for her HOA. She enjoyed travel, reading, working in her garden, and was devoted to her cats and dogs. She found happiness with her family, friends, and in her faith in God. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Fenn. She is survived by her sister, Bobby Palmer and brother-in-law, Michael Palmer; sister, Betsy Tarr and niece, Nicole Stacy; stepchildren, Marlene Johnson and son, Christopher Johnson; Eileen Daniels, and husband, Bob Daniels and their daughters, Heather and Mercedes Daniels; Charmaine Cook and husband, Mark Cook.
