Myron E. Riley Sr., 89, of Kansas City went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 10th, 2016. Myron was born on Jan 27th, 1927 to John Riley and Mabel May Stice in Sturgeon, MO.
Myron never knew a stranger and was quite the handyman. He was married to his wife Geraldine Riley (Baker) for over 69 years. Myron served in the Coast Guard in WWII and later retired from KCP&L. Myron’s hobbies were fishing; collecting: stamps, coins, beanie babies, etc.; singing – he and his wife Geraldine sang at many retirement homes and different churches where they sang and shared God’s Word to many, many people; he shared his faith to anyone who would listen; he loved his Lord Jesus with all his heart; and he loved his family and was quick to let them know it.
Myron leaves behind 3 children Myron (Teresa) Riley Jr., Dena (Larry) Leslie, and Connie (David) Cecil, 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral service with military honors will be Thursday, July 14th, 2016 at 2pm with a visitation 1 hour prior at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
