Mildred Lemon

Mildred Ann (“Red”) Lemon of Pleasant Valley, Missouri passed away on December 8, 2021, at the age of 84.

Mildred was born on July 12, 1937, to Caroline and Oliver Pierce.  Mildred was preceded in death by siblings Caroline “Susie”, Eugene, Roy, and Ronald “Doc”. She married Jimmy Don Lemon in October of 1955.  Mildred’s family was her life and she enjoyed taking care of her four children; Sonna Nelson (James) of the home, Ronda Dysart (Glenn) of Kansas City, Cheri Bolin (Alan) of Liberty, and Jimmy Lemon Jr. (Brenda) who preceded Mildred in death.  In her spare time, she enjoyed bingo, crocheting, playing card games, and cooking roast and noodles for Sunday dinner.

Mildred was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lemon Sr.  She is survived by her three daughters, her sister Evelyn Wutke of Parkville, grandchildren (Glenn James Dysart of Kansas City, Jennifer Stanley of Kansas City, Christopher  Bolin of Tennessee, Rachel Davis of Blue Springs, Amber Bolin of Plattsburg, Rachel Rose of Kansas City, and Melody Kern of Kansas City), 14 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 17, 2021, with service to follow at 2:00 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s, Harbor Hospice, or Alzheimer’s and Dementia Research.
