Mildred Butler

April 11, 1930 — October 15, 2016

Mildred F. Butler, 86, of Kansas City, MO was born April 11, 1930 and passed away October 15th, 2016 at North Kansas City Hospital in the Hospice Care Unit. Mildred was the foundation of the family. She was an awesome Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandma. Mildred loved the outdoors and really knew what the names of different plants and trees were. Everyone knew to ask her about how to care for plants. Mildred also loved concrete statues and concrete art. This love was passed on to her entire family and they all have concrete items in their yards. Mildred did a lot of macramé and needle point crafts and taught each Grandson how to do needle point crafts. Each and every one of the family members have great memories and stories to tell about Mom or Grandma or Great-Grandma. Mildred will be dearly missed by all. She was a strong believer in Christ our Lord. Now is a new beginning for Mildred for she gets to be reunited with our Father and her husband J.B. Butler after 35 years of being apart; what a great blessing that is. This is not the end but only the beginning as we will all be reunited again in God’s time.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Butler; her son, J.B. Butler, Jr.; her mother and father, Lee and Grace Campbell; a sister, Imogene Brewer and many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her brother, Herb Campbell; her sisters, Betty Branstetter, LaVonne Converse; her daughter, Linda Perry (Lee); her son, Robert Butler (Lisa); grandsons, Chris Perry (Cindy), Mike Perry (Janine), Jason Perry (Annie), Robert Butler II, Derrick Butler and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th Street (169 HWY and Shoal Creek Pkwy) Kansas City, MO. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 1 PM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the NorthCare Hospice House.
