Mildred E. Ohmes Adamek, 84, of Kansas City, MO; died at home on December 31, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born January 13, 1932, in Greely, Kansas to the late Jerome and Helen (Dinsmore) Ohmes.
Her home was the hub of the family and the neighborhood; everyone was made to feel welcome and loved. They took many domestic and international trips and cruises and loved being together as a family. The family would like to express gratitude to Crossroads Hospice for their gentle care of Mildred and the entire family.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard Adamek; children Linda Burton, Elaine (Hal) Porter, Gary (Beth) Adamek, Richard (Donna) Adamek Jr., and Michael (Donna) Adamek; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Yvonne “Bonnie” Ohmes and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mildred is preceded in death by her siblings, Frances Calovich and Robert Ohmes.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6-8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 6, 2017, at 1 PM at St. Therese Catholic Church; 7207 MO-9, Kansas City, MO 64152. Interment will follow in Terrace Park Cemetery.
