Max Dean

Max P. Dean, 82, Kansas City, MO passed away September 21, 2012.  Max was born to Paul and Lottie (Walcher) Dean on June 21, 1930 in Princeton, Illinois.  He was united in marriage to Marilyn (Small) on June 19, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri. Max graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri.  He graduated college from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1952 with a BS in Agriculture.  He served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956 and flew F-86F Sabre Jets from bases in Japan. After the Air Force, Max began his career in real estate.   He owned his own company, Max Dean Real Estate for almost 30 years.  He was a sales agent for the Coves and Coves North Subdivisions. Max was a member of the Platte Woods United Methodist Church and the Around Thirties Sunday School Class.  He was a member of the Platte Woods Tuesday Golf group and a longtime member of the Northland Duffers Golf Club.  Max raised money for the Platte County Children's Trust for foster children in Platte County.   Max liked to hunt on his Platte County farm with his son, Tom and grandson, Kyle.Survivors include wife Marilyn of the home, daughter Sally Dean of Kansas City, son Tom Dean and wife Kim Dean of Lee's Summit, grandchildren Kyle Dean and Brooke Dean, and his sister Mary Lou (Dean) Myer of Wooster, Ohio. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the Platte Woods United Methodist Church 7310 NW Prairie View Road, Platte Woods, MO 64151 on Friday, September 28, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to Platte Woods United Methodist Church.
