Max Buffington

Max Lewis Buffington, 68, of Kansas City, MO passed away on October 5, 2021.

Max Buffington was born on March 20, 1953 in Gentry County MO to Lester and Agnes Buffington. His family moved to Stanberry, MO, where he finished high school. After moving to the Kansas City area, Max began his career in the trucking business. He worked for Safe-T-Flare for 27 years, before spending 16 years as owner and operator of KMS Trucking. Max was an avid Nascar fan, loved riding his motorcycle, enjoyed watching the deer in his front yard, and most importantly cherished time spent with his family.

Max is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Agnes. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Kathy; children, Travis and Jeremy Buffington, and Shauna (Mick) Dorris; and grandchildren, Malaki and Addie Buffington.

Services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Monday, October 11th with the visitation beginning at 10:00am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am and burial.
