Maurice Brooks

Maurice Deondraye Brooks, 45, of Kansas City, MO passed away on April 3, 2020. Maurice was born in Jefferson City, MO on February 3, 1975 to Clarence and Sandra (Harris) Brooks. He grew up in Sikeston, MO where he enjoyed playing football and basketball in school. Maurice spent many years working as a Supervisor for the National Logistics Operational Center for Quest Diagnostics. Maurice enjoyed watching sports, especially his favorite teams-the Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks and Lakers. He also enjoyed playing video games, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family. Maurice is preceded in death by his grandparents and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his parents; wife, Torshea Booker-Brooks; children, Marissa Bomerito Brooks and Maurice Brooks II; grandchildren, Myanna Green and Stephen Green III; siblings, Mark Harris, Brooke Brooks, Clarissa Brooks, Joey Brooks and Monique Brooks; and many extended family and friends. Private services and burial will be held at Terrace Park Cemetery – Lakeside Chapel on Saturday, April 18th.
