Mary Sue was surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, as she left this earth to be with the Lord.  Mary Sue was born September 4th, 1945 in Butler, MO.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Floyd Cook and Mary Madge (Cowan) Cook and husband Rodger Wayne Martin.  She is survived by sons Jason Wayne (Janiece) Martin and Charles Michael Martin, sister Judy Elaine (Cook) Waters and grandchildren Shelby Lynn Martin and Cole Wayne Martin.  Raised in Appleton City Missouri, Mary Sue was a member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church in Appleton City.  As a child, Mary Sue loved to play the piano and organ at the church. At a young age she developed a love for reading that she would enjoy her entire life.  In 1963 she graduated from Appleton city high school where she was active in many clubs and organizations including cheerleading and band. In 1964 Mary Sue was wed to Rodger Martin.  They soon moved to Kansas City Missouri where they began the rest of their lives together. Mary Sue was a devoted wife, a loving mother of two sons and a proud grandma of two grandchildren.  She dedicated her life to caring for her family, but when she had time to relax you would always find her reading a book.  She was the most selfless woman one could ever know and truly a gift from the heavens to those that knew her.
