Mary Burton

Mary Marie Burton, 91 of Sedalia, MO passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Sylvia G. Thompson Residence, Sedalia, MO. Mary was born October 7, 1926 to Robert and Mary (Scott) Parrish in Salem, IL. She grew up beside the railroad tracks and enjoyed helping her mother feed the hobos that passed by. Mary lived in Gladstone, MO and worked for the Kansas City Airport police until 1999. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, garage sales, and playing the slots. She will always be remembered for her love for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest Burton, her sons; Mickey and Lee Gearhart, and her sister Hilda Faye Phillips.

Mary is survived by her daughter Linda Gearhart of Sedalia, MO, grandchildren Michael Cline of Parkville, MO, Marshall Cline of Kanas City, MO, and Mark Mincks Jr. of Sedalia, MO, great grandchildren; Maelynn,  Madilynn, and Mason.

Graveside Services will be Friday, April 13, 2018 at 1:30PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery.
