Martha Ketchum

Martha Mae Ketchum, 80, of Gladstone, MO passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.  Martha is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Roland.  Martha was a wonderful mother to 5 children: David A. Ketchum, Eddie Ketchum, Karen Burke, Kim Eddy, Polly Ketchum and their spouses.  She leaves behind eleven grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.  Martha was an active member of McMurry United Methodist Church.  Many people will remember that she was president of the PTAs at both Maple Wood Elementary and Maple Park Junior High.  She remained active with her children as a room mother, den mother, Girl Scout leader, and youth group leader.  She was instrumental in establishing youth activities like "teen town" for the many young people in the neighborhood and schools.  Visitation will be held at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park between 6 and 8 Friday evening July 27th.  Funeral services will be held at the same location on Saturday, July 28th at 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the
