Mark Anthony Silva, of Holt, MO, passed away July 2, 2015.
Born March 12, 1955 in Castro Valley, CA, he was the second child of the late Tony Silva and Sylvia Chaney. He grew up in Hayward, CA, and was a graduate of Mt. Eden High School.
Mark will be deeply missed by his three children, Erica Silva Miller and her husband Jeremie, Mark Silva II and his wife Holly, and Alexis Silva and her boyfriend Brandon Hargis. He was a proud grandfather of three: Garrett Silva, and Alexandra (Ali) and Wyatt Miller. He also leaves two sisters, two brothers and a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A member of UAW Local 31, Mark retired in 2007 from General Motors after 32 years of service. He loved all things Harley, especially his Fat Bob, NASCAR, and his football team, the Raiders. Mark was an animal lover and had a soft spot for his beloved pets.
Mark was happiest when he was with his family, and especially treasured being with his grandchildren. More than anything else, he cherished his loved ones and the time he spent with them.
The family will hold a visitation from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, with a Celebration of Life following at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 169 Hwy & Shoal Creek Parkway, Kansas City.
