Marjorie H. Levine, 92 of Gladstone, MO, died at New Mark Care Center on Thursday, June 25, 2015. She was born in Kansas City to the late Clarence A. And Helen E. (Stringham) Gillispie on August 5, 1922.
Henry and Marjorie were married November 1, 1945 at the US Coast Guard Separation Center Chapel in New Orleans, LA, where they both served in the Coast Guard during WWII. In 1946 they moved to K.C. and later to Gladstone, MO where they lived for 52 years. Marjorie graduated from Northeast High School in 1939 and Grace Brightwell School in 1941. She was employed by North Kansas City School District for 5 years and retired in 1985 from Farmland Industries after 20 years of service. Marjorie’s passion was her family. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, enjoyed photography, crafts, sewing, teaching ceramics, china painting and traveling with Henry and their best friends, Paul and Margaret Bradley.
She was the loving wife of 62 years to Henry A. Levine, who died April 1, 2008; beloved mother of Michael (Sandy) Levine and Patricia Levine; Cherished grandmother of Lori, Stacy, Teresa Ashley and Shauna and great-grandmother of 10.
Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2015 from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
