Marjorie Carol Johnson, 80, of North Kansas City, MO., was gathered to our Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2010. She was surrounded by her loving family when the Lord called her home. It was a grand 80 years that she gave to her family and friends.A Memorial Service will be held in celebration of her life on Sunday, October 31, 3:00 p.m. at the Mount Moriah Terrace Park Chapel, 801 NW 108th St., Kansas City, MO. Marjorie now joins her best friend and beloved husband Armour. They were together for over 61 years in a marriage of boundless love and devotion to each other. On May 27, 1930 Marjorie Carol Evans was born in Columbia, Missouri. Her parents were Arletta and Artie Evans. After the death of her father, she was raised by her mom and stepfather Claude Bowser. All of her childhood was spent in Columbia, MO.In the 1960's Marjorie began a successful real estate career that made her many new friends. Her outgoing and caring personality combined with her professionalism was a blessing to all who met her.Marjorie was a loving and wonderful wife and mother. The love she so freely gave to us will endure forever.  We hurt so much but we trust in the Lord that we will embrace her yet again.John 11: 25-26"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Armour, her daughter Deborah Hamilton and grandchildren Sheri and Todd Hamilton. She is survived by son Phil and wife Gloria of Overland Park; granddaughter Christina and husband Jack Abrahamian and great grandson Luke Schlitter of Overland Park; daughter Karen and husband Jeff Horn and grandchildren Evan and Ethan of Austin, TX; daughter Jonna and husband Lyle Hedge and grandson Kyle O'Neil of Kansas City; and life-long friends.Arrangements under the direction of Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO.(816) 734-5500
