Marjorie Chapman

Marjorie Ellen Chapman, 87, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on October 22, 2020.

Marjorie was born on March 28, 1933 in Iola, Kansas to William and Ruth Mark. She spent a short time working for Western Chemical as a controller, but her primary job was caring for her three children. Family was the most important thing in her life and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for her exquisite cooking and always made it a point to bake a special dessert for each family member. Her signature treats were her buttermilk brownies and endless trays of cookies. Marjorie also enjoyed sewing, crochet, and traveling. She loved spending time in the Colorado mountains, but her favorite trip was when she went sight seeing all over Europe. Her sweet yet sassy personality will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Kent, Kurt (Lori), and Denise (Kathy); grandchildren, Tony, Tara, Ryan and step-grandson, Christopher; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends

Private family services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
