Marion Testa

Marion J. Testa, 95, passed away on February 1, 2019.

Marion was born on June 28, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri to his parents Joseph & Maria (Cozzo) Testa. He attended school at Manual High and went to work for Aircraft  Accessories Inc. in Kansas City, Kansas as Parts Expediter 1947.

Marion joined the Army in 1943. He was a Private First Class Veteran of World War II. In 1944, he was sent to the Surgical Tech Center in Denver, Colorado where he completed the course and was given a Certificate of Honor at Fitzsimmons General Hospital. He was awarded the honor of a Rifle Expert in 1945. In 1946, he worked in the medical 668th Field Detachment Artillery Battalion where he received the Good Conduct Medal.

After his military discharge, he went to work for Aircraft Associates Inc., Perfection Springs, and other trucking companies as a parts expediter for over 50 years. He later went into business for himself in the same field.

Marion was married to Angelina (Lombardo) Testa in 1947.  They spent 71 wonderful years together raising their family. Marion is survived by his wife, Angelina; son, Joseph Alan; daughter, Marilyn Jane (Robert) Ray; grandchildren, Christopher John (Molly) Ray, Steven Michael (Amber) Ray and Matthew Ryan Ray; and four great grandchildren, Cooper Michael, Brett Christopher, Cole Patrick, and Lucas Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Phil and Sam Testa; and sisters, Lucille Brendemihl and Josie Testa.

Dad was a very special and loving person. He loved his family, Country, and the KC Royals. He will be missed greatly by his family, neighbors, and friends, but will remain in our hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00am, with visitation one hour prior and graveside service to follow.
