Marion Forsen

Marion Jean Forsen, 91, passed away Monday April 16, 2018, at Brookdale Shawnee. Jean was born March 31, 1927 to George and Ethel (Davis) Miller in Holt County, MO. She graduated from Benton High School in St. Joseph, MO. It was there she met the love of her life, and on June 22, 1945 married Bill Forsen. The family moved often during his military service, and Jean spent her time raising the family. She enjoyed sewing and was quite the seamstress. She loved to read and sing, and was asked on occasion to sing at weddings and also at church. She is a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 61 years.

Jean is survived by her daughters; Sandy Blascyk of Kansas City, Kansas, Sheri Crowley of Kansas City, MO and her son Scott (Rhonda) Forsen also of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving are grandchildren; Jennifer Cox, Jeffery Blascyk, Michelle Forsen, Shae Crowley, Brad Forsen, Lauren Hussar, and Candice Moody, seven great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10:00AM with Funeral Services immediately following at 11:00 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home Lakeside Chapel; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions go to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. or Brookdale Hospice.
