Marion "Andy" Dixon, 96, passed away on November 9, 2024. Born on January 10, 1928, in Greenfield, Ohio, to Marion and Helen Dixon, Andy's life was one of adventure and dedication.
Andy proudly served his country as a member of the civil service in a distinguished career in the sheet metal fabrication industry for the United States Navy. His strong work ethic and skill earned him respect and admiration throughout his career.
California became Andy's beloved home for many years, where his cowboy spirit flourished. Known for his love of horses, Andy was often seen donning his cowboy attire and riding in parades. Beyond his equestrian passion, Andy had a flair for entertainment as a magician and ventriloquist, leaving audiences of all ages amazed and laughing.
Andy found peace and connection in nature, taking annual camping trips where he embraced the great outdoors with many fellow friends.
Andy is preceded by his parents and wife Lucille Dixon.
He will be fondly remembered by his daughters, Melinda Garcia and Helen Taylor; grandchildren, Kevin (Christi) Kilmartin, Eric (Corynne) Garcia, Shawn (Anna) Beatty, Joseph (Stephanie) Turrentine; great grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
The family will host a private celebration of life at a later date.
