Marie Niepozeski

April 15, 1930 — August 28, 2021

On Saturday August 28th, Marie Niepozeski gained her wings, God took her hand and said come with me and I will give you rest.

Marie was born in Los Angeles, California to William and Mary Genco on April 15,1930, the first of three children.

On March 19, 1966, Marie married Joseph Niepozeski. Her husband's career in the hotel industry took them to many states to which they enjoyed and they eventually retired in Orchard Park, New York. Marie worked worked as a payroll administrator from Sun America for more than 20 years.

After Joe's passing in 2008, Marie moved to Kansas City to be by family. She made many long lasting friendships wherever she went, always ready to help in any way she could. Marie was an angel in Earth.

Surviving Marie is her sister, Susan Fields; brother, Frank (Judy), two nieces, one nephew, as well as 6 great nieces and nephews and many cousins on the west coast. Predeceased by her parents, beloved husband, Joe, and brother-in-law, Howard Fields.

Services for Marie will be held on Thursday, September 2nd at St. Therese Catholic Church. Visitation is from 10-11am, and the Mass of Christian burial at 11am. A luncheon at the church will immediately at 12pm. Private family interment will be at Terrace Park Cemetery.
