Marie Anne (Welch) Jenkins, 79, of Overland Park, KS entered the gates of Heaven on June 28, 2022. She was born to the late Nelson and Ruth Welch on October 17, 1942.
During her lifetime, Marie worked many jobs. She began her employment as a USO in Germany with her husband. She was a stewardess for TWA, a manager at the Washington Street Station, and sales woman for the U.S. Commerce. She also worked for the National Small Business Association, American Pride Foundation, as well as K.C. Plastics with her son, Grant. She was a part of the KC Greater Chamber of Commerce, and a saleswoman at the Hmong Manufacturing Company. Marie also spent many hours volunteering for the KC Visitors serving as an ambassador.
Not only did Marie spend much of her life serving her employment, she also was a servant to her family. She was a faithful follower of Christ and loved the Lord with all her heart. She lived everyday to the fullest and loved her life. Marie was always willing to learn and enjoyed being a social butterfly. She was always willing to be present for those around her and made sure those that she encountered knew their self worth. Many of her hobbies included traveling and Graphology.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her previous husband: Don Bybee; brother: Richard Welch, and sister: Juanita Welch.
She is survived by her previous husband: Tony Jenkins; son: Grant (Katerina) Jenkins, grandchildren: Kyle, David, and Brianna Jenkins; as well as her nieces: Debbie Carson and Christina Johnson.
