Marianne Prucha

Marianne O'Boyle Prucha, of Kansas City, Missouri, 75, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Saint Luke's Northland with family by her side. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 27, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 919 NE 96th, Kansas City, MO 64155. Burial at Terrace Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, May 26, from 5-7 p.m. at Holy Family. Prayer service to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Family Memorial Fund (in memory of Marianne Prucha). Marianne was born on July 9, 1935, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She graduated from Saint Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Lincoln in 1956. She retired from Liberty Hospital in 2005, after 30 years of service in a job she loved. She married Robert Prucha on October 20, 1956, and enjoyed 54 years by his side. They loved to travel and spend time with their family and both have been very active with their church. She is survived by her husband, Robert, children Jane Gandy (John), Lisa Miller (Ron Duff), Jill Buckland (Buck), and Tom Prucha (Jill Stratton), grandchildren Sara Yutzy (Steve), Trey Buckland, Molly Prucha, Abby Buckland, Ben Prucha, and Annie Prucha, great-grandchild Lukas Yutzy, and a brother, Jack O'Boyle. Mar will be dearly missed by family and friends.
