Margie E. Summers, age 89, passed away April 23, 2021. She was born June 12, 1931, in Sedalia, Missouri , to James and Letha (Vinson) Strong.

Margie was married to her loving husband William Summers for more than 50 years. The marriage brought Margie a large family. She spent most of her time taking care of her children and grandchildren. She participated in PTA and 4H alongside her children. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting canvases, doing ceramics, and decorating cakes. Other hobbies she succeeded at were bowling and softball. Margie gifted a piece of her art to all her children. Margie had successful careers at Townsends Communication and owned her own restaurant, the Jet Diner in Riverside, Missouri.

She is moving on to be reunited with her parents; her husband, William, in 2002; her daughter Brenda and a sister, Geraldine Poole. She is survived by her children: William Summers, Bonnie Nims, Thomas Summers, John Summers, Donna Stipetich, Robert Summers, Daniel Summers, and Lisa Summers; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service for Margie will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Wednesday, April 28th at 1:00pm.
