Margie Lee Gore

Margie Lee Gore, born Margie Lee Watkins on October 26, 1931, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 28, 2023.  She was 92 years old.  Margie spent her childhood at her place of birth, in Marion, Illinois.  Her entire adult life was lived in Kansas City, Missouri.

She fulfilled various roles in her life, but her favorite was as a loving member and support of her family.  She was a devoted daughter, supportive sibling to eight, a faithful wife, the loving mother of 3, proud grandmother of 4, and the delighted great-grandmother of 8. 

Margie was well known and regarded for her generosity to those in need, and the warmth of her home, which she opened to many.  She was a faithful member and benefactor of McMurry Methodist Church.

Her surviving loved ones include her daughter Patricia Nelson, son Burton Carriker (Karla), granddaughter Traci Fabac, grandsons Jacob Chastain (Olivia), Thomas Chastain (Sara) and Dane Carriker, and great grandchildren Adam, Sarah, Maddie, Emma, Liam, Harrison, Haley, and Emily.
