Margaret Kupka

Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” Kupka, daughter of the late Carroll & Margaret (Bennett) Bassett, was born on October 19, 1925, in San Antonio, Texas and departed this life on October 26, 2018, in Kansas City, Missouri. At the time of her passing, she was 93 years of age.

She spent her early years in San Antonio where she graduated from high school. After graduation from high school, she attended college in both San Antonio and Austin, Texas. On March 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Charles Kupka, and to this union, three children were born.  Together, they lived in several different places before settling down in the Kansas City area. She loved animals, volunteering at church and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in passing by her parents and her beloved husband, Chuck. She is survived by her three children, Todd Kupka, Leslie Kupka and Karen (Chuck) Haber; four grandchildren, Ty Kupka Blocker, Erin (Jason) Gubbins, Camille (David) Ball, and Christopher Kupka; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many friends and family who will all truly miss her.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd with Rev. Galen Snodgrass officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the Church of the Good Shepherd Memorial Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.
