Margaret Ann Krentz died on October 11, 2011. She was born to Otto J. and Anna Lehrack on June 6, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri. She married Niell George in August of 1939. To this union were born three daughters, Anna Whipple of Rathdrum, Idaho, Gale Barnes of Iola, Kansas and Sandy Hank of Liberty, Missouri. Margaret married Ben Krentz of Topeka, Kansas in October of 1962. He preceded her in death in 2004. Most of her working years were spent in the banking business in Waverly and Topeka, Kansas. She and Ben moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1973 and resided there for 29 years. While living in Phoenix she became very active with golf. Later she became President of the Arizona Women's Golf Association. In 1974 she became Coordinator for the "walking scorers" of the Phoenix Open. This position she held for 25 years. She returned to Kansas City, Missouri in 2001 where she resided until her recent death. A Celebration of Margaret's life will be held on November 14, 2011 at WynBrick Center, 1701 WynBrick Dr., at 11:00 AM in Liberty, Missouri. A private interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
