Margaret Carroll

Margaret Carroll, 95, of Kansas City North, passed away July 7, 2013, at NewMark Care Center where she had lived for the past 8 years. Visitation will be held from noon to 2pm, Friday, July 12th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Chapel with graveside services following at 2pm in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery Interment Chapel, located at 801 NW 108th Street, KCMO 64115. Margaret was born February 18, 1918 in Kansas City, Kansas to Frank and Emma (Lindsay) Shuler. She was the youngest of three children and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1936. Following high school, Margaret worked in the office of Kresge's until starting work for Trans World Airlines, where she met her husband, George Carroll, who had transferred to Kansas City with TWA from New York City. They were married in 1951. George passed away in 1979. Margaret and George lived in the Northland most of their married life, except for 7 years when George worked with the TWA Space Program in Merritt Island, Fla. They returned to Kansas City in 1971. Margaret retired from TWA in 1984. She was a long-time member of Parkhill Christian Church and member of the Delta Theta Chi sorority. She also volunteered for the Kansas City Literacy Program. In addition to parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by brother, Frank Shuler; sister, Verna Armbruster and nephew, Bill Shuler. She is survived by son, Ron Carroll of Kansas City North and five nieces and their families. Memorial contributions may be sent to
